We use the Mastic Waterproofing insulator Purchased from Toronto's most trusted Stucco material supplier to begin the installation. The mastic ensures your home will be and remain waterproof-free for many years to come, and is spread with trowel over the existing plywood. (mastic is only needed when plywood is on site).
Depending on the project, standard 2-inch foam with high R-Value will be installed overtop the mastic layer with adhesive mortar glue. We then filet/sander the foam so the foam can absorb the following layer (basecoat) much better.
Using Monobase cement and fibreglass mesh, spread with a trowel. This layer is the "base" of the foundation for the layers to come on top of the foam, the fibreglass mesh absorbs and sticks the cement to the foam to form a solid base.
The polishing paint layer! The finish coat layer is not a normal paint layer, the finish coat contains sand inside the paint, giving the finish coat a much harder surface to withstand cold and harsh climates, with the sand also giving the stucco it's unique look.
